WOWEE, who would have thought that a bunch of black poly pipe could perform miracles. I’ve heard that lots of people  use poly pipe mats to solar heat pools and spas. Well that’s exactly what BPR has done. There is about 90 metres of pipe curling, twisting and winding it’s way over the roof of the granny flat and today the spa was actually too hot to get into. But it was great to know that it works.

I’m about to embark on a career change. I have just joined up with an at home party plan company. I’m not allowed to say their name, because that is their policy, but they are a global company who manufacture and distribute a fantastic range of personal care and cosmetic products. I already use and love the products and they are very popular, so that is half the battle won already.

I’ve had a really good reception with getting started and so far everyone I have asked has agreed to have either a real party or a catalogue party to help me get up and running. Should be great fun. I’ve done party plan and other direct selling before, so it is nothing new to me. I was once a Tupperware lady (love the product, but hated trying to sell it), and I did Learner’s World toys and books for a while when Moo was really little and did quite well at it.

Now that I’m older and have more confidence I should do pretty well I think. And guess who sponsored me - none other than my little Moo. The lady who trained me said she hadn’t heard of a mother being sponsored by a daughter before, so we could be a first.

I had a display table at our local school on election day and had a fantastic response. I managed to get ten new contacts names and numbers. I’m hoping I can get a few of these girls to host parties after Christmas to kickstart the New Year. The first team meeting last night was an absolute hoot with a lovely bunch of girls in our team so I’m looking forward to meeting and making some new friends.

OMG, the Blue Power Ranger rocks big time. We now have a fully functioning in-ground pool, with working spa and solar heating. How cool is that? Blue got it into his head a couple of weeks ago that he wanted to get the pool up and running again, so he’s gone and done it all. He fixed the pump and filter, got the spa an air pump so we now have bubbles instead of just water jets and rigged up solar heating using black pipe on the roof of the granny flat.

My babies ?? are off to high school next year. That’s a scary thought. They both applied for a special sports course at the school they want to go to. Two weeks ago they had a tryout day, where they participated in six different sports that the school offers in the course. They had a ball. We’ve been waiting in anticipation for “THE LETTERS” to come. Every day it’s been a scramble for the letter box to see if they were there.
